Children and Nursing Scrub Prints

Friday, January 29th, 2010

nurse-scrubs-printsYou might not be able to wear prints or maybe you don’t like cartoon prints and other scrub designs made for nurses who work with children. You can still put the children at ease. Since children can be scared by hospitals, there can be a barrier built between them and the nurses who care for them, so it is important that a nurse does everything they can to bridge that gap. Studies have shown that nurses will be able to do less scaring of children and more caring by simply brightening up their wardrobe. The fun prints are ideal, but bright solids will do the job of putting children at ease, also.

Medical Scrubs and a Professional Appearance

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

professional-medial-uniformsWhenever you hear the word “scrubs” you probably think about those people who work in the medical profession. You may even think about some of the recent, popular medical television show or a funny skit on a comedy show. Regardless of what comes to mind, when you think of scrubs, chances are there are several things that don’t come to mind when you hear the word “scrubs”. You probably will not remember the type of scrubs, name brand, style, or color of scrubs that they the nurse, medical caregiver, or TV personality was wearing unless they were the basic blue stereotypical scrub. You will remember if they seemed professional and competent.

Importance of Nursing Shoes

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

nurse-scrub-uniformsWhile most nurses feel as though they have a rewarding job, they will also be the first to admit that their job is also very stressful and tiring as well. This is mainly due to the fact that they spend most of their time on their feet. They do not have a lot of time to sit down before they have to get up and tend to their patients again. For this reason, it is very important that a nurse makes sure that he or she are wearing the right nursing shoes and that the nursing shoes fit properly and are comfortable too.

A Man and His Nursing Scrubs

Monday, January 25th, 2010

men-nurse-uniformIt’s no longer new to see male nurses and more men in the care-giving field. Women aren’t the only medical personnel that are expected to wear nursing scrubs. Long gone are the once common jokes about male nurses as more men are entering the field of nursing. The opportunity to make a difference and earn a high income draws both men and women to the field of nursing. For a long time, there were few options for men when it came to nursing uniforms and scrubs, but with more men required to wear scrubs as part of their uniform dress code, there are more options becoming available for them. Fortunately, if you are one of these men who must wear scrubs to work on a daily basis, these scrubs are stylish, professional looking, and fit better than ever. This is because there are a lot of different manufacturers who are marketing different types of scrubs to men today. These scrubs come in a variety of different colors and prints, too. The scrubs designed for men look and fit great for male doctors, male nurses, and male medical personnel.
