The nursing uniform has been the norm for medical professionals throughout past century and a half. These scrubs use to be stiff, no nonsense, plain white dresses with white shoes and white caps. During that time, unfortunately, there were very few style variations available for nurses. It was also a field that women dominated so there weren’t nursing uniforms or scrubs for men. Today, this has changed for the better though. Not only have nursing uniforms become more fashionable, they are more practical.
